About Us
Gulfstream Tropical Aquarium, originally established in 1964, was purchased by the Kon family in 1984. GTA works as a local, national, and international distributor, and manufactures aquarium and pond water conditioners.
In South Florida, from Kendall to Cocoa, GTA delivers on a weekly basis live brine shrimp, ghost shrimp, blackworms, frozen fish food, live phytoplankton, live feeders, freshwater fish and aquatic plants. Our company also distributes, nationally and internationally, the Mag-Float® - the floating magnetic aquarium cleaner which was voted the most innovative invention in the aquatic industry in the year 2000. Recently, GTA also became a manufacturer of aquarium/pond water conditioners after it purchased a company that had been solidly established in the market for over 25 years. Now in 2008, GTA is proud to launch its new product line of water conditioners and treatments called Mag-Float Labs™.
